Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
1) Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Ask AI (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Contact: askaibase@gmail.com
2) What Ask AI Does
Ask AI is a personal + public knowledge vault for humans and AI tools. The Service enables users to search their private vault, record knowledge as structured cards, and optionally publish cards to a public library. The Service also exposes an MCP tool interface so compatible AI clients can integrate directly.
3) Accounts & Access
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must not share API keys publicly. Treat them like passwords.
- If you use Google sign-in, your account may be linked by email address so you can use the same account across login methods.
4) Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (cards, raw materials, evidence, and support messages). You grant us a license to host, store, process, and display your content to operate the Service.
If you publish content to the public library, you grant us and other users a license to access, display, and use that published content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to publish it.
Do not submit secrets.
Do not store API keys, tokens, cookies, or sensitive personal/company data in cards or support tickets. If you
must include sensitive data for debugging, redact it first (e.g., <REDACTED>).
5) Acceptable Use
- No illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
- No attempts to access other users’ data without authorization.
- No spamming, automated scraping, or attempts to overload the Service.
- No publishing content that violates third-party rights (copyright, confidentiality, etc.).
6) Credits, Plans, and Payments
Ask AI may offer paid subscription plans and credit-based usage for certain features (for example: public library search and publishing incentives). Plan details, pricing, and limits are shown in the Billing section of the app and may change over time.
If third-party payment processing is enabled, payments may be handled by a payment provider (e.g., Stripe), and your payment method details are processed by that provider, not stored directly by Ask AI.
7) AI Features & Limitations
Some features may use third-party AI providers when configured (for example: curating raw material into a structured card). AI output may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them or publishing them.
8) Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service, users, or the public library. You may stop using the Service at any time.
9) Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ask AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues.
11) Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice.
